The current projects include

• Developing this website with links to others to provide information about all amenities and attractions along the line and how to reach them by public or community transport or by active travel
• Photo posts at key scenic and environmentally sensitive locations near stations at which visitors are invited to take photos and upload these to this website so changes can be monitored in changing seasons and through time
• Appeal for station adoption (for which funding is available from ScotRail for station improvements) and stakeholders who can contribute and keep up-to-date information about amenities, sustainable and active travel, and other points of interest to visitors at each station. • Arranging a 150th-anniversary event to commemorate the opening of the line from Helmsdale to Wick and Thurso in 1874. The event will be on Friday, 21st June 2024, either at Helmsdale or Forsinard.  More details will be published shortly.
